All of our work is grounded in a foundation of strategic rigor and discovery. The Strategy department works on a wide range of projects—from positioning and messaging, to strategic planning, to leadership work sessions, to audience development—all with the end goal of thoroughly understanding our clients from the outside in, and helping them create powerful connections with their audiences. With an unparalleled understanding of the cultural landscape, our strategists ask probing questions, challenge assumptions, and synthesize information and research, in order to execute forward-thinking solutions that effect a organizational direction, positioning, and identity.
For us, design means crafting visual solutions that are creative, elegant, and effective. Whatever the form these solutions take, the thoughtfulness of the process and respect for the end user are major determinants of the integrity of the final design. Our team strives to visually express each client’s institutional personality across all designed communications materials from graphic identity systems and printed brochures, to websites and on-site directional signage.
Whether the “product” is an Alexander McQueen exhibition or a brand new performance hall for a major symphony orchestra, paid advertising provides the opportunity to tell your story to your audiences in your own words. Our team of copywriters and designers break down the overarching message and hone in on the benefits to the audience with clear, inspiring, and engaging visuals and copy. Our advertising campaigns build general institutional awareness and drive attendance to specific programs and events. We also offer full-service production capabilities for all media channels, including print, digital, and outdoor.
For 20 years, LaPlaca Cohen has provided media planning services to our clients and, in that time, we have developed important relationships with media outlets that specialize in reaching a highly-educated audience interested in cultural activities. We work with our media partners to develop new and experimental ad formats never before used in the cultural world. In addition to the niche outlets, we work with mass market advertising channels such as outdoor, radio, and TV, to reach new audiences in an ever-expanding market. In conjunction with media planning, we will reserve and complete all specified insertion orders and placements. This media buying process includes negotiating contracts and rates, negotiating layout positions, handling all administration related to media, and trafficking the ads to all media outlets.
We’re always excited to work on new projects.
